Fall Membership Social

Our featured Speaker will be Dr. Grover Brown, Associate Professor of Biology at Jacksonville State University. He has led our Children’s Program, Frog Night with Turtles for years, now he will bring his show to the Membership Social.  He is quite the entertainer! Put this date on your calendar.

"Dr. Grover Brown grew up in Rome, Georgia, along the Coosa River, whose waters eventually flow into Lake Logan Martin and several other reservoirs in Alabama. He has long been fascinated by freshwater turtles, particularly those inhabiting the Coosa River basin. He earned his B.S. in Ecology from the University of Georgia and, after graduating, spent a year abroad working to conserve threatened and endangered turtles in Vietnam. He later earned his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2020 before joining the faculty at Jacksonville State University in 2021, where he is now an Associate Professor of…
